Newly Certified Medical-Legal Consulting Practice Serves Legal Community

Clawson Medical-Legal Consulting has launched Northwest California’s first legal nurse consulting practice. Well known for his educational programs and consulting services since 1994, Bill Clawson, RN, PhD, CLNC (certified legal nurse consultant) is expanding his practice to help attorneys evaluate medically-related cases. Bill has over 25 years in critical care, health care administration, and assisted living experience. He and his team are strategically positioned to cost-effectively and efficiently help both plaintiff and defense attorneys screen cases for merit, locate expert witnesses throughout the United States and Canada, and prepare for discovery and trial as needed. A retired Naval Commander, Bill’s clinical and administrative experience includes practice at several of the nation’s largest civilian and military teaching hospitals, including Barnes Hospital of Washington University, St. Louis, and Bethesda Naval Medical Center, Washington, D.C. Additionally, he has been a featured speaker at several national assisted living conferences. This extensive experience uniquely prepares Bill to quickly and decisively get to the heart of a wide variety of cases, from personal injury to medical malpractice to criminal cases.

Bill recently passed the credentialing examination and received his CLNC certification after completing a rigorous course of study from the Vickie Milazzo Institute. This is the nation’s first, oldest and largest legal nurse consulting and education organization. Widely recognized by attorneys, the CLNC certification is the official certification of the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants. As an active member of this alliance, Bill has access to a nationwide network of over 6,000 health care colleagues who can provide additional expertise often required in today’s complex medical litigation. Although there are several Long Term Care CLNC Specialists in the state, Dr. Clawson is 1 of only 2 Assisted Living CLNC Specialists in California, and only 1 of 11 in the nation.
